Sour Mangrove Honey
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
Our Sour Mangrove Honey has a natural sour or acidic taste that may remind you of citrus fruits. This tartness can provide a refreshing and zesty taste to the honey. Compared to our Mangrove Honey, the Sour Mangrove Honey typically has a more subdued sweetness.
Trigona Itama bees store their honey in tiny pots of pure propolis, which sips into the honey, giving it a sweet and sour taste.
Our Sour Mangrove Honey has high antioxidant content from the propolis and can boost your immune system.
We purchase our honey directly from the local communities. This jar of honey comes from the mangrove forests of Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, where local communities help keep the forests standing through beekeeping. Read more about how Mangrove Honey is made and harvested.
Note: Our Mangrove Honey is relatively less viscous and would pair especially well with drinks as it requires minimum stirring or heating. If you prefer a thicker consistency, try storing the jar in the fridge for a thicker consistency.
Best by: 12 months from opening.
